IT Support Officer

The ProCredit group comprises 21 financial institutions which focus on providing responsible banking services to very small, small and medium sized businesses in transition economies and developing countries. The duties and responsibilities for IT Support Officer are to enable ProCredit Bank users to accomplish their business requirements through effective operations. Administering, maintaining operating stability and efficiency and ensuring continuity workflow of the IT Department’s client, network and system infrastructure. Perform related duties as assigned by Head of IT Support Unit In addition we strive to develop a savings culture amongst private persons and to provide responsible and transparent banking services to those who live and work in the neighbourhoods in which we operate.


IT Support Officer assists solving problems for Head Office and Branches & Staff Support for day to day operations.
Account operator: Manage Active Directory Objects e.g. User Accounts, Computer Accounts etc.
Installing, upgrading, configuring, integrating and troubleshooting software computers, printers, multi-functioning machines and other IT Equipment which are under the responsibility of IT Support Unit.
Maintaining Helpdesk calls through Helpdesk Software.
Provides systems support to all staff ensuring that any issues are resolved in a timely and professional manner, prioritizing support requests according to the needs of the company.
Ensuring that support requests are properly recorded, tracked, and completed, including those received verbally.
Escalating issues which cannot be resolved to the appropriate IT Department Unit.
Fine-tune hardware and software to optimize client/network performance and functionality.
Monitoring trends and development in computing, networking and multi-platform communication technologies.
Evaluates new operating system and/or network devices, hardware, methods and techniques to improve system/network reliability and performance.
Maintain LAN network functionality.
Keeps good communication.
Administering, configuring, and troubleshooting Computers, Printers, switches and other related IT equipments.
Tests, analyzes and evaluates new Software and Hardware products.
Cares about keeping good communication atmosphere in IT Support Unit.
Documenting work related tasks.


Information Technology background experience in general.
Knowledge of Microsoft Client and Server Operating Systems, Microsoft Office 2003 – 2007.
Needs to be communicative, punctual, flexible and reliable.
